Murals in lijiang
Lei Lei was one of the creatives invited to take part in a mural project organized by our good Lijiang Studio, 2009. The project is part of the “New Countryside Laboratory” series and features artists from all over China painting murals on the walls of countryside homes throughout the Lashihai and Lijiang area.
Leilei was assigned to the Zhao household and discussed with them what types of images they wanted painted in various locations throughout their property.
The first paintings done were of a rooster, which was modeled after a rooster that lives on the Zhao family farm, as well as a black and white mountain-water scene that the family requested.
